Where the directory comes from
Settlefy checks the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation’s Pending MDL Dockets by Docket Type report automatically. The currently displayed report is dated Oct 1, 2026. The extracted entry count matches the report's printed total of 171. Titles, MDL numbers, court district codes, master dockets, and judges come from that report; missing fields remain marked as missing.
What “pending” means here
It means the litigation appears in this dated report. It does not mean a settlement claim form is open, a law firm is recruiting, or an individual has a viable claim. Some dockets remain listed while matters resolve. New developments after the report date may not be reflected. A lawyer or current court record should confirm current case status.
What is and is not included
The directory includes all docket types in the imported report, including products liability, privacy matters, commercial disputes, and intellectual property. Not every federal MDL is a mass tort. State consolidated proceedings, individual injury claims, and emerging investigations are not yet comprehensively covered. An auto accident ordinarily requires individual review even if no relevant MDL appears.
How search and questions work
Search matches case titles, MDL numbers, docket types, editorial topic groups, and selected related brand terms verified against court summaries. Where related terms are added, the case page links to their supporting court overview. These terms are not a comprehensive list of every affected product. The feed monitors the JPML report index and the public GLP-1 and AFFF court pages every six hours. It does not monitor every individual docket or determine eligibility. Questions adapt to broad subject areas to help gather context. They are not legal screening criteria and do not establish causation or eligibility.
Updates and verification
Scheduled checks run every six hours, and the open feed refreshes every minute. A new JPML report is parsed automatically; its printed total, unique MDL numbers, report date, and column structure must validate before it replaces the catalog. JPML normally publishes reports on the first business day of each month. A quiet feed means no new source event was detected. Failed checks retain the last verified catalog and appear as delayed source status. Before acting on a possible claim, check the source, exact eligibility requirements, and any applicable deadlines with qualified counsel.
Sources currently monitored
The JPML report covers all listed federal MDLs. Additional page-level monitoring currently covers GLP-1 (MDL 3094) and AFFF (MDL 2873). A detected page change is a source signal, not an automated legal summary. Personal email alerts and clinical criteria approval remain separate.
